Health Opportunities Through Physical Education

The purpose of this course is to develop and enhance healthy behaviors that influence lifestyle choices and student health and fitness. The content includes, but is not limited to applying fitness and health concepts, biomechanical and physiological principles, development of an individual wellness plan, mental and emotional health, coping skills, abstinence education, and the risk and protective factors of tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use and abuse.

Life Management
The purpose of the course is to give the student a foundation and knowledge in emotional development, mental health, and mental disorders, living with stress, personal hygiene, the life cycle, substance abuse, infectious diseases, cancer, accidents, first aid, CPR, and personal issues.

Personal Fitness

Weight Training I
In this course, the student advances his/her physical training by learning the muscle groups and what exercises develop them. The course includes an introduction to the technological methods of training with a concentration on flexibility and cardiovascular development.
