Letter from Admissions Director

Dear Prospective Santa Fe Family Member,

First and foremost, thank you for your interest in our incredible school. We welcome you with open arms and assure you that Santa Fe Catholic High School is here to exceed your expectations.

We know that you’re making a big decision right now; a decision that will affect the path of a student’s entire academic career. You certainly have many choices that range from a free public education, to a variety of private institutions. So, why choose Santa Fe?

Each of the faculty and staff is proud to be a member of the SFC team, and why shouldn’t we be? When you compare the SFC family to other high schools in Polk County, you’ll find that we are the only private high school that holds a Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accreditation. We have held this accreditation since 1972.

Other facts on which to base your decision include, but are certainly not limited to:

  • 98% of our graduating seniors further their education in college;
  • 77% of our graduates receive Florida Bright Futures Scholarships;
  • The average SFC graduate acquires $40,000 in scholarships;
  • Through our dual-enrollment and AP courses, your child is able to enter college as a sophomore, saving parents thousands of dollars in college costs;
  • Over half of our faculty members hold advanced degrees;
  • All major FHSAA sports are offered – go Crimson Hawks!
  • SFC boasts a stellar Fine Arts program that includes a performance of fall and spring Broadway musicals, a competitive and award-winning Visual Arts program, Choir/Band, Drumline, and a Fine Arts Exposé at the end of the year;
  • There are over 15 student clubs and organizations in which students may participate;
  • SFC has established an international presence through its exchange programs; bringing in students from Japan, France, Vietnam, and Spain, and sending SFC students to Imabari, Japan through the Lakeland Sister Cities Program. Foreign language trips to France and Spain are common as well;
  • The Christ-centered education includes mission trips, daily prayer, and retreats to help develop values;
  • A safe, secure campus provides an optimum academic learning environment.

Success in life begins now… so let’s complete a “homework” assignment together. Please answer the following question: What needs are required of a high school in order to best prepare the student for his/her personal and academic success? Let’s get together so I can show you how Santa Fe will fulfill those needs; I’ll show you around campus, and would love to answer any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting with you soon!

Most sincerely,

Scott Morris
Admissions Director
