Brief Description of Job: Santa Fe Catholic High School, founded in 1961, serves young men and women in grades 9 through 12. The 40-acre campus is located between Lakeland and Winter Haven and serves all of Polk County and the surrounding area. Santa Fe Catholic offers a program of college preparatory studies encompassing values grounded in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serves the families of the surrounding communities. Through academic, spiritual, athletic, artistic, extracurricular and service programs, the school endeavors to help each student develop fully as a child of God. Santa Fe Catholic High School is currently accepting resumes from qualified individuals to teach high school Religion for the 2017-18 school year.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Theology.
- Practicing Catholic.
- Valid Florida teacher certification or eligibility to be certified.
- Demonstrate curriculum knowledge with the ability to follow standards based instruction.
- Assess the levels of student achievement, analyze test results and deliver instruction to varied learners.
- A skilled communicator with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, peers, administrators and others within our community.
- Applicant must pass a full background screening.
- Upon employment, individuals will be subject to a 90-day probationary period.
