CHWC participants can earn money towards their trip by doing gift wrapping at Books – A – Million on Saturday, December 17 or Sunday, December 18 anytime from 10AM to 10PM. The store is located in Lakeland. Also, you can wrap gifts at Barnes and Nobles Bookstore in Orlando (across from the Florida Mall) on December 23 from 10AM to 10PM. Students will share whatever money earned to go towards their trip. Families are encouraged to shop at these stores to help support our students going on mission. Thank you.

Sophomore Retreat

The sophomore retreat is on Friday, December 2 at St. John Neumann Parish Center, Lakeland. Permission slips will go home on Monday, November 28th.

Poinsettia Pick Up

Poinsettias will be ready for pick up in Crimson Hall after school on Friday, December 2nd. Thanks to all who ordered. We are grateful.

Poinsettias - The poinsettia order will be placed in Mid-November. Both the Gift Card and Poinsettia fundraiser help with the annual Catholic Heart Work Camp trip. Thank you for your support.

Drumline -  Congratulations to the SFC drumline who, through their accompaniment, helped the cheer team from Valencia Hills Rehab and Home win first place last Saturday at the Alzheimer’s Walk at Lake Mirror.

Annual Remembrance Mass

The annual remembrance Mass for deceased alumni, relatives and friends of SFC will be celebrated at  10:25 AM on Tuesday, November 1st in the gym.  Please submit names of those to be remembered to Br. Paul on or before October 28th.  Also, please join us for the Mass followed by a light reception in Crimson Hall.  Thank you.

Santa Fe Catholic Youth Conference 

October 14.  The SFCYC is a full-day conference of prayer, learning and service for our 9th graders and the 7th and 8th graders from our feeder schools (St. Anthony’s, St. Joseph Academy, Lakeland, St. Joseph, Winter Haven and Resurrection). Catholic Heart Work Camp

A deposit of $75 is due on or before September 23rd for those students who have a confirmed space on the trip for June. Please send to Br. Paul. Thank you.

The trip will be to Virginia Beach, VA June 9-16, 2012. Students who want to participate need to attend three pre-camp MANDATORY meetings, parents to ONE. Students will be registered five at a time, for one chaperone is needed for every five. Currently we have four chaperones and 20 students registered. There are 14 students on the waiting list. Anyone interested in chaperoning may contact Br. Paul. The cost will be $500, give or take a bit. Thank you.
